In June, 2004, Hewlett-Packard Development Company U.S.A. sued Shanghai Orinton Electric Ltd. (the Orinton) for trademark infringement. This is because the defendant highlighted the words “HP” on the outer packages of their own products, which are even bigger than the trademark of the defendant.
