Beijing City Government First Sponsored Large Press Conference of Intellectual Property
Recently, the Press Office of Beijing City Government and the Intellectual Property Office of the City jointly sponsored the press conference of protecting situation of intellectual property in Beijing.

According to the introduction from Liu Dongwei, the Director-general of Beijing Intellectual Property Bureau, in recent years, with the key of strengthening publicity and education to intellectual property, advancing execution to law and the industry’s self-discipline, and heightening the enterprises’ consciousness of intellectual property, Beijing has adopted multiple measures, such as establishing joint conference system for protecting intellectual property, establishing regularly-held press conference system of protecting situation of intellectual property, setting hot line for consultation of safeguarding rights, bringing tort of intellectual property into government and enterprises’ credits information system, which optimized the protecting environment for the Capital’s intellectual property.

When answered the questions of reporters, the relevant principal of Beijing Copyright Administration Bureau points out, 90％pirate of our country comes from other countries. In this sense, China is a suffered country of intellectual property’s torts. He believes that pirate will destroy a country’s system and environment for innovation. (China Intellectual Property Net)
